Web store for documents and tickets with Drupal Commerce

The main contents of the website are events (conferences, seminars, workshops), each with many different dates and locations, which are imported and updated via an automated process from an externally generated CSV file. This ensures that the website is always up to date with the database used by Vereon for event management. With a specially created Feeds Importer, the data is converted into commerce entities and stored in Drupal, making the entire store logic of Drupal Commerce available.

Another important component here is asset management: as each individual event (series) has its own presentations as PDF files, these also need to be managed. A specially developed module allows PDF files to be uploaded in a batch process and linked directly to an event date. After uploading, a thumbnail of each PDF file is automatically generated for display in download lists.

The PDF files themselves are managed by Drupal as private files and are therefore protected from public download. Only participants of the respective event can download the files with a download code, which is automatically created when an event date is imported.
