Complex multisite with roll-out in up to 21 countries and languages

KaVo - the brand is cult.

The KaVo brand is highly regarded by dentists and dental technicians and is very well known. The products are the benchmark in many product categories, both in terms of quality, technology and ergonomics. It is no coincidence that some products have received awards such as the Red Dot Design Award or the iF product design award.

KaVo Dental GmbH is a traditional company that has been developing, producing and distributing dental products for over 100 years. KaVo - an abbreviation of Kaltenbach & Voigt - is the market leader in many product areas and has an excellent reputation as an innovator in the dental industry. The company holds more than 2,200 patents and utility models and has been part of the US conglomerate Danaher Corporation since 2004. A strategic acquisition which in turn contributes to the improvement of KaVo products through know-how transfer and provides the company with enormously strong support.

Relaunch of the corporate website in flat design

In October 2014, we launched the corporate website project together with KaVo. The design was created in close collaboration and partly according to the specifications of the lead agency PBK. The decision was made to change the design style to flat design - with retroactive changes also in relation to the brand's other appearances, e.g. in print.

Complex Drupal website with many interfaces

The complexity of the new website arose, for example, from the large product range with many different categories (to be seen, for example, in the mega drop-down menu). In addition to this wealth of content, an external asset management system and the well-known online marketing tool HubSpot were also connected.

Other topics included the translation workflow and tool connection (Across), personalization, a store integration within the corporate website (with Drupal Commerce), as well as a landing page construction kit, which should be based on the corporate website theme.

Roll-out in up to 21 countries and languages

The German KaVo website and the www.kavo.com form the master version for the roll-out in up to 21 countries. These instances of the corporate website all run on just one Drupal installation and go online step by step.
