Corporate Interactive World Map

The Sto Group is an internationally active company with various subsidiaries and sales partners spread across the globe. Tojio's task was to create a clear and easy-to-understand overview of all locations, including addresses and hyperlinks.

The Sto Group is an internationally active company with various subsidiaries and sales partners spread across the globe. Tojio's task was to create a clear and easy-to-understand overview of all locations, including addresses and hyperlinks.

Our work began with the graphic reduction of a world map, firstly to adapt it to Sto's clear, reduced corporate design and secondly to improve the perception of continents and countries in a limited space (830 x 300 pixels). The user has two ways to navigate: They can zoom in and out of continents simply by clicking with the mouse and click on the countries. The rollover effect immediately shows whether or not there is a representation in the country under the mouse pointer. Alternatively, the user can also select a country from a drop-down menu. The address data below the interactive world map is read from a database and integrated as a dynamic HTML fragment to ensure that the addresses are easy to maintain.

The reduced illustration of the world map was ultimately also used in print.
