Web app for architects
A web application is a web application that goes beyond the usual functionality of a website. So-called web apps offer richer interaction possibilities (such as drag-and-drop) and higher performance, as they work in the background and without disruptive interruptions with the web-server and can perform calculations on client side.
Design variety on the façade
The creation of a web app for Sto AG was therefore the best choice for the following task:
According to the motto "Design diversity on the facade", architects should be able to experience the advantages and special properties of certain Sto AG products. To this end, we developed an application based on the Adobe Flash platform: the Sto Surface Viewer. It caters to the target group of architects by providing a purely visual introduction through navigation via surface images. Further information and links are secondary to this visual navigation, but offer every opportunity to delve deeper into the products.
Full Screen Gallery
A special feature of the Sto Surface Viewer is the scalability of the interface and the full-screen mode. The user can switch to full-screen mode and thus use the entire size of the monitor to see important details. Higher-resolution files are reloaded and superimposed in the background. All data is created in such a way that it can be quickly and easily adapted for other languages and content changes.
The Sto Surface Viewer has been adapted and published by Tojio for the following languages and subsidiaries of Sto AG:
- German (versions for DE, CH, AT)
- English
- Czech
- Dutch
- spanish
- Greek
A similar project we did for Sto AG is the Sto Design Collection Viewer.
In addition, two variants were created for the acoustics and interior product areas.
