Responsive web design lecture

8.3. at the cyberTreff in Constance

Responsive web design lecture

On May 8, we will be giving a presentation at the cyberTreff in Constance:

Responsive web design means that a website adapts to the user's end device in terms of content, design and technology. This requires a fluid layout, fluid images and a screen size and orientation query. This makes the page significantly more complex and expensive than a normal website. The project is not only more complex from a technical point of view, but also in terms of concept and content. However, the effort is often worthwhile, sustainable and ultimately cheaper compared to individual adjustments.

In the presentation, we will give an introduction to the topic, show best practices and our own projects and experiences. Afterwards, we would like to discuss in a short panel discussion for whom responsive web design makes sense:

Does an IT company need such a website or is it just something for the pizza service, which displays the telephone number (pressable) at the top of the smartphone in a target group-specific manner, but places the competition including e-mail query for the newsletter most prominently on the desktop page?
