Drupal cracks the one million mark

If that's not cause for celebration: this Tuesday, the Drupal Association pointed out in a press release that 1,005,489 websites were using Drupal as of February 15, according to automated installation reports.

We are of course very happy about this news: the growing popularity of the Drupal framework and the growth within the community reinforces our decision in favor of Drupal and shows us that we have backed the right horse. Drupal is known for:

1. its large and very active community (over one million user profiles worldwide)
2. unlimited extensibility (thousands of freely available modules increase the possible applications)
3. enormous scalability: Drupal is already used by 12% of the top 100.000 websites (measured by traffic)
