Launch Party: Drupal CMS 1.0
The new Drupal CMS: A milestone for website operators
The "Drupal Starshot Initiative" announced in early 2024 had an ambitious goal: Drupal should offer a great user experience out of the box. This means that the creators and operators of websites should be supported in their work by an ideal workflow. The Drupal CMS that emerged from this initiative will have its first official release on January 15, 2025.

On January 15, 2025, the first official release of the "Drupal CMS"
We at Tojio have joined a worldwide, distributed launch party and are delighted to be part of the global event: Starting at 16:30, we will come together here in our agency. Starting at 5 pm, there will be a livestream on the web, where the new product will be presented and at 6 pm is the official release time.
At the presentation at Drupalcon Singapore in December 2024, Dries revealed the status of the project for the first release. But he also presented the further roadmap (especially the Experience Builder) and product strategy (re-branding and marketing) - and it is very ambitious! The fundamental difference between the Drupal CMS and the previous Drupal (from now on also called "Drupal Core") is: the Drupal CMS is very strongly preconfigured, so that it can be used productively immediately after installation (whereas previously a lot of work had to be put into configuring the system before you could really get started with it).
In fact, the future Drupal is supposed to be a solution that allows you to create and operate websites without having to write any additional code for functionality or presentation.

"Our goal is for Drupal CMS to be the gold standard for no-code website building."
Dries Buytaert, Drupal Founder and Project Lead
The new Drupal CMS is aimed at a target group that previously had to rely on developers or agencies to create projects, but can now do even more themselves: Marketeers, web designers and content creators. That's why we are particularly inviting all interested parties without prior technical knowledge to this event. Let's explore together what is already possible and what will be possible with Drupal in the future!
