You can find free and royalty-free images on these websites
There are now masses of websites with (supposedly) free images / stock photos for downloading on the internet. However, it is often not clear to users whether and how they are really allowed to use these images. In this article, we therefore present some websites that offer images free of charge and usually publish them under a CC0 license (Public Domain).
Gratisography
This website by photographer Ryan Mc Guide offers a good selection of free stock photos. New images are added weekly.

Under the title "New Old Stock", the website offers historical-looking photos - many in black and white or with a color cast. The images come from public archives and have no known license restrictions.

The very clearly organized site Kaboompics, offers a variety of free images and stock photos. All images are divided into categories, which makes it very easy to find your way around. The images have been published under the CC0 license.

A huge selection of stock photos that can be searched by name or category. 10 new images are added daily. There is also a large selection of free stock videos. All images and videos are published under the CC0 license.
