Drupal User Group Lake Constance - 4th meeting in 2014
4th meeting of the Drupal User Group Lake Constance in 2014
The Drupal User Group Lake Constance meets regularly once towards the end of each quarter. The 4th DUGB meeting will take place this time on November 28th.
This time it will be more technical again. We are delighted that Matthias Walti will be making the long journey from Switzerland to talk to us about the Panopoly Drupal distribution. Otherwise - as always - other spontaneous topics or sessions are also welcome ...
Session 1: Faster to a website with Drupal Panopoly
"Build a house and start with the tenth floor.
"
Under this motto, the Panopoly development team offers an extremely powerful Drupal distribution. Panopoly provides frequently needed tools and settings to realize fully responsive websites faster.
Panopoly offers powerful layout functions, among other things. These are based on the Panels extension - but the complexity of Panels remains under the surface. The presentation presents projects from various areas (marketing, commerce, collaboration) that were created with the Panopoly distribution.
- History and roadmap of Panopoly
- Extensions using Panopoly apps
- Manage flexible layouts with drag & drop
- Improved environment for authors
- Panopoly as a basis for your own distributions
There are of course numerous practical examples based on current projects.
About the person: Matthias Walti works as a freelance Drupal specialist in Switzerland. In previous years, he held several positions in media production, marketing and communication.
